imageKARACHI: The law-enforcement agencies would remain on a high-alert in the city, in view of terrorism threat on Friday, as Inspector General Sindh Police A D Khwaja directed police to make foolproof security in the city for Friday prayers.

According to latest reports, IG Sindh has directed police to make arrangements of patrolling, picketing and snap checking across the city.

He asked police to take airtight security measures for Friday congregations with the help of Masajid and Imambargahs managements and caretakers. He asked the force to be vigilant and alert during the prayer.

Security officials say they make special security arrangements on Friday and would deploy additional security to meet any unexpected incident.

Meanwhile, security measures at Sindh High Court were also beefed up amid the recent spate of terrorism in the country. The numbers of Police and Rangers personnel deployed at the entrance of the court were increased and strict checking is being carried out at the entrances.
