imageThe sporting scene in Pakistan is rapidly transforming, as the youth now delves into Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and body building rather than playing gully cricket.

The recent shift has been encouraged with the emergence of new sport stars including Ahmed Wolverine Mujtaba, who remains the brightest of all as Pakistans undefeated MMA featherweight now eyes one of the toughest fights of his career.

Mujtaba is set to face Malaysias Keannu Subba in a featherweight bout at ONE Fighting Championships Throne Of Tigers event in Kuala Lumpur on February 10.

For Mujtaba the Wolverine, as he is affectionately called by his fans, it is just another opportunity to extend his undefeated streak. The sportsman, however, has much bigger ambitions i.e. to spread MMA in Pakistan.

"I would leave no stone unturned in my mission to spread more and more awareness about the sport of MMA in Pakistan, and the Pakistani MMA scene globally. Hero or not, that is up to the fans and the viewers to decide. I will simply fulfill my responsibility as a son of Pakistan," said Quetta-born fighter, quoted Asia One.

Mujtaba, who manages his time between training and studies, recently finished his exams at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences, where he studies Computer Science.

Now with his exams out of the way, the Pakistani is focused on his upcoming featherweight fight with Subba.

"Martial arts has given me literally everything the name, the recognition, the money, the physique, the fitness, the discipline and the skills. What more could I ask for?" says Mujtaba.
