imagePakistans wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed has come a long way since making his international debut in 2010 to captaining the Green Shirts in the shortest format of the game. The cricketer is now being considered to lead team Pakistan in One Day Internationals (ODIs) as well.

However, not all was smooth sailing for the wicketkeeper batsman along the way, specially during the tenure of former head-coach Waqar Younis.

I was a bit insecure because I had been dropped from the last T20I matches before the Zimbabwe tour after performing and I was concerned if my replacement performed what would happen, quoted the 29-year-old, while talking to a private TV channel.

But when asked about the events of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in New Zealand and Australia, when Waqar didnt play him in the first four matches despite public pressure, Sarfraz said he tried to play the issue down at that time.

I feel scared to say too much. It could lead to me being dropped. I fear being dropped from the team because I have seen what happened to some other players, stated the T20I captain of his national side.

Pakistan at the moment are on tour to Australia, where they would play their last One Day International at Adelaide on Thursday. The visitors have already lost the limited overs series, after being whitewashed 3-0 in the Test matches.
