The 17th Corps Commander Cup golf tournament will get underway here at Lahore Garrison and Country Club from January 19. Brigadier Raza Zafeer, President Lahore Garrison and Country Club stated this at a news conference, here on Tuesday.
As many as 70 amateur golfers, 16 seniors, 6 ladies and 20 veterans besides other will take part in various events, he added. Some of the leading golfers taking part in the event are Adil Jahangir, Imran, Fakhar Imam, Tashfeen Ashraf and Muhammad Safdar.
Corps Commander Lahore, Lieutenant General Shafaat Ullah Shah will be the chief guest. BoP representative, Muhammad Aslam said his organisation has a commitment to contribute in healthy activities and they are sponsoring this prestigious tournament to supplement ongoing efforts for the promotion of golf.
