imagePakistans bowling legend Wasim Akram has withdrawn his case regarding alleged firing at his car in Karachi on Tuesday. The former cricket captain informed that he has reached an out-of-court settlement with the case suspect.

This was learnt during a court hearing of the road-rage shooting case that occurred back in 2015. Akram appeared before the court and submitted the settlement he reached with the car shooting suspect.

The Judicial Magistrate-East then accepted the settlement and approved Akrams request to terminate the case.

A week ago, a bailable arrest warrant was issued against Akram, for not appearing at the court continuously for testifying in case filed by him. The arrest warrant was issued by East Magistrate, after the left-handed fast bowler failed to appear before the court in 31 hearings.

Akram lodged a complaint with Bahadurabad police station, after his vehicle was fired upon at Karsaz in August 2015. However, the former skipper remained safe in the episode.
