imageKARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has called an informal party meeting on Saturday to discuss prevailing political situation of the country in the aftermath of his return from an 18-month-long self imposed exile in Dubai.

According to reports aired on private TV channels, the partys political activities have gained momentum since PPP co-chairmans return to the country on Friday.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will also attend the meeting in Karachi today, sources told a local TV channel.

The meeting will discuss among other issues the deadline of December 27 given by the PPP chairman regarding their four demands to the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The PPP leaders will also discuss about Fridays controversial raids carried out by Rangers paramilitary force in Karachi, arresting at least five people said to be very close to the former president.

Rangers on Friday raided the offices of Anwar Majeed a close aide of Zardari and allegedly recovered weapons and documentary evidence of terror financing from the two premises.
