National Geographic just announced the winners of its Nature Photographer of the Year for the year 2016 after careful selection of the submitted photos for over twelve weeks.

The categories ranged from wild life, action, landscape, animal portraits to environmental issues depicting stunning sceneries of nature and even shots that are highly unlikely to be replicated. Here are some of the winners from the photography contest.
