SINGAPORE: The Asian jet fuel differentials weakened against stronger gasoil prices, boosted by demand from Winson Oil in Singapore, trade sources said.
India's Essar Oil likely sold 60,000 tonnes of jet fuel for Dec. 1 to 5 loading at a premium of 40 cents a barrel to Middle East quotes, traders said. The deal could not immediately be confirmed.
India's Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) sold 40,000 tonnes of jet fuel for Dec. 13 to 15 loading to BP at a discount of $1.20 a barrel to Singapore quotes, traders said.
MRPL last sold a jet fuel cargo to load over Nov. 25 to 27 to Vitol at a discount of $1.10 a barrel, they said.
Indonesia's Pertamina will shut its Balikpapan refinery for maintenance and the single point mooring (SPM) loading system for its Cilacap refinery in March, according to three sources close to the matter.
The 260,000 barrel per day (bpd) Balikpapan refinery in East Kalimantan province will shut for 30 days, said an integrated supply chain official from Pertamina PERTM.UL, declining to say which specific units at the plant would be affected.
Pertamina will also conduct maintenance in March for the SPM system at its 348,000 bpd Cilacap refinery in southwestern central Java. The refinery will operate normally during the period, two other sources with knowledge of the matter said.
