A meeting of the Executive Council of the Association of Asian Parliament for Peace (AAPP) will start here on August 22. Parliamentarians from 21 countries, including China, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Kuwait will participate in the meeting.
The meeting will be presided over by incumbent AAPP President Ch. Amir Hussain, speaker, National Assembly of Pakistan.
The AAPP provides a forum to the parliamentarians for exchange of views, ideas and experiences for developing common strategies and action plans for promoting peace and friendly relations among the member countries of Asia in particular and of the world in general.
