The Consul General of Indonesia in Karachi and Mrs Entjim Herrianto hosted a reception on Friday evening at a local hotel to mark the 60th Anniversary of the proclamation of Indonesian independence. The reception was also meant to say farewell to Pakistani and diplomatic friends since the Herriantos are leaving for Jakarta on transfer soon.
The event was attended by a very large number of guests who included parliamentarians, officials, pressmen, industrialists, businessmen and academics. H. E. Entjim Herrianto and Madam Herrianto thanked all the guests for finding it possible to attend the reception and also for the co-operation that they had received from all the Pakistani friends and friends from among the diplomats here.
The Consul General was confident that Pakistan-Indonesia ties will keep on expanding in the days ahead.
