It’s not just India or Pakistan where the Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has been winning hearts; he has been ruling the world with his charm and impressive acting skills. Fawad Khan added another feather to his hat on Friday night as he won big at the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne (IFFM).
The Melbourne crowd went crazy when the ‘Kapoor & Sons’ actor received the ‘Diversity Award’ at the fifth edition of the annual festival held to recognize his excellence and achievement in Indian cinema. The crowd kept cheering for him which made it difficult for him to deliver the acceptance speech.
Atlast he said, “Kuch Bol Sakta Hun Is Waqt? (Can I say something?)”, to which a member of the audience replied, “Gaana Bolo (sing a song). “Gaana Bol Ke Suna Sakta Hun (I can say the song for you),” said Fawad. Fawad also thanked the IFFM for the honour and for a flattering introduction, local media reported.
The Pakistani actor also presented ‘Best Actress’ award to his fellow star Sonam Kapoor, for her incredible performance in ‘Neerja’.
Pakistani singer Sara Haider also performed during the event; she dedicates a song to Pakistan on a global platform.
