Globe largest sporting festival, the Olympics is just days away as the Olympic fever rises, Samsung wants you to fell like an Olympian with its limited edition Olympic theme Galaxy S7 edge.
As per TechCrunch, the South Korean smartphone maker which is also an official Olympics partner, has initially created this special, limited edition version of its high end smartphone for the 12,500 Olympians.
But it is now learnt that as of today Samsung would release its special edition for the common folks. But bear in mind that only a lucky few could get a hand to it as only 2,016 smartphone would be available in selected regions i.e. Brazil, United States, China, Germany and Korea.
The Olympic special edition “features a custom-made colorway pattern that designed in blue, red, green, yellow and black – the five colors of the Olympic Rings. There is a blue theme in the rear camera, sensors and flash, red in the power button, green in the volume button and yellow in the receiver and home key – while the device itself is a distinctive black”, said Samsung.
“The colors of the Olympic Rings are also featured in the phone’s user interface in both the home and lock screens. These can also be found in the message, dial and contact screens, as well as the notification bar,” it added.
The customized phone would come along with a “unique” travel case. In the US, one needs to pay some $850, for the device that is a $100 more over the regular Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. But it seems to worth it, as Olympics don’t last all that long.
