ISLAMABAD: Concrete measures are being underway to decrease the current level of load-shedding in the country to 10 to 15 percent only as compared to current one, said Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah Thursday.
Speaking on a point of order in National Assembly he said, up to 20,000 mw electricity would be produced from Thar coal project for next several years.
While work on Bhasha, Kohala, Neelum-Jhelum, Satpara and Gonal Zam was continuing nowadays.
He lamented that projects to produce 25,000 mw power initiated in 1997 by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was ended abruptly by the successive government. He urged Supreme Court of Pakistan to take suo moto action for this crime against the nation. PPP is ready to present documentary proves in this regard.
