KARACHI: PIA's retired employees have appealed to the government for immediate raise in their monthly pension to help provide relief to them.
They also demanded that pension should be increased according to the government rules as PIA's pension is `less than any other government organization'.
A statement here on Wednesday said that the PIA Retired Employees' Association (PIAREA) adopted a resolution in its recent meeting, demanding PIA chairman and Ministry of Defence to increase the pension of its retired staff.
It said that the resolution stated that pension of the retired employees should be increased as per rules of the corporation.
Syed Tahir Hassan, President PIAREA said the management should address the demand of its retired employees through Pension Fund Trust having handsome amount solely for their welfare.
