Monthly quotation for hides and skins for the month of April 2004.
The prices indicated below are average and can vary to the extent of 20 percent more or less than indicated below, depending on the mark and standard of tanneries from sizes grade, selection and range.
The mark/standard of various tanneries differ according to their tannage and selection standards.
Wet salted per piece cow hides, extra large I up Rs 200 to Rs 2300, II up Rs 100 to Rs 1950, large up Rs 150 to Rs 2100, II up same amount to Rs 1800, Medium up Rs 100 to Rs 1800, II up Rs 100 to Rs 1400, small up Rs 100 to Rs 1200 and II up Rs 50 to Rs 900, buffalo hides extra large down Rs 50 to Rs 1800, II quoted at Rs 1600 and III at Rs 1200, large down Rs 100 to Rs 1150, and II down Rs 100 to Rs 850, medium I down Rs 50 to Rs 700 and II down Rs 50 to Rs 550, small I down Rs 50 to Rs 550 and II down Rs 50 to Rs 400.
Goat skins extra large II quoted at Rs 270 and better quoted at Rs 180, large II up Rs 5 to Rs 255 and III quoted at Rs 160, medium I quoted at Rs 190, II Rs 180 and III at Rs 70, small I quoted at Rs 160 and II at Rs 80, sheep extra large I and II quoted at Rs 475 and Rs 350, large I at Rs 450 and II at Rs 300, medium quoted at Rs 300 and at Rs 170, small I quoted at Rs 100 and II at Rs 70.
