Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali said on Friday that neither anyone has asked him nor he has resigned from the office. Talking to reporters here at the Prime Minister's House, he said the people should believe, when the Prime Minister is saying something.
"The newspapers and its responsible people should understand and recognise this fact," he said.
To a question, the Prime Minister said, "I should not want to repeat myself, but when the Prime Minister says that no one is destabilising his government, the people should believe."
When asked who could be behind this campaign, Jamali said that he did not know but all the rumours were targeted at one person and that is Prime Minister.
When asked to trace rumour-mongers using official channels, the Prime Minister said that government institutions were meant for official work and not personal.
"Politics is a test match and not a one-day game. Some people are young, they want to play it as a one-day game," he said.
About cabinet expansion, the Prime Minister said that consultations are under way with PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
"I have enmity with no one and the performance of every individual is before the people," he said when asked about any reshuffling.
