Turkish Interior Minister Abdul Kadir Aksu, currently on official visit to Pakistan, called on President Pervez Musharraf here on Friday.
The President welcomed him and expressed hope that his visit and interaction with Pakistan's leadership would lead to further strengthening the warm fraternal ties between Turkey and Pakistan.
The President said that the people of Pakistan hold their Turkish brethren in very high esteem, and communicated his greetings to the Turkish leadership and people.
During the call, co-operation between Pakistan and Turkey on security, anti-narcotics issues and war against terrorism came under discussion.
Abdul Kadir thanked the people and government of Pakistan for the hospitality extended to him and the members of his delegation. He termed his interaction with his counterparts as "excellent and very fruitful".
Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat, Turkish Ambassador in Pakistan and other officials were also present on this occasion.
