Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association in its largely-attended meeting on Monday strongly condemned the incident of Haidery Mosque and expressed deep shock over the act of terrorism and brutality committed on the Namazis.
The meeting, presided over by chairman PPDA Abdul Sami Khan, expressed grief and sorrow and sympathised with the families of the victims.
They also prayed for early recovery of the injured people.
Taking note of the aftermath of the Masjid incident, the meeting showed deep concern over setting ablaze a number of petrol pumps by the angry mob.
It was felt at the meeting that petrol pumps were the easy targets for unruly mobs whenever there occurs a law and order situation.
The PPDA has demanded of the government to compensate the affected petrol pumps owners the same way as it does in cases of people killed in acts of terrorism.
