Teradata, a division of NCR (NYSE: NCR), hosted the fifth national awards ceremony at the Islamabad Convention Centre to recognise outstanding information technology professionals in nine different categories.
These heroes of Pakistan's IT industry were presented with IT Excellence Awards, gold medals and certificates for their excellence and achievements in 2002-03.
Leading dignitaries and prominent personalities from the government as well as representatives of banking, insurance, airlines and other leading industries attended the event.
As Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz and Information Minister Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari had to leave for Karachi in emergency, Finance Division Parliamentary Secretary and MNA Omar Ayub and Pakistan Software Export Board Managing Director Aamir Mateen represented them and read out their messages on the occasion.-PR
