US to help develop Karachi University's department

A Professor Emeritus of the States University New York, Dr Ilyas Bayunus, has assured co-operation towards the development of Karachi University's Department of Sociology.
He came up with this offer in a meeting with the vice-chancellor of Karachi University. Professor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, in his office here on Friday.
A University spokesman said that Dr Bayunus discussed with Professor Siddiqui academic matters especially those pertaining to the development of social sciences especially in the present day era.
The vice-chancellor of Karachi University was of the view that no society can make headway without development of the social studies.
