An Indian navy ship was badly damaged when a rocket exploded during military exercises off the country's western coast but no one was injured, a military spokesman said on Friday.
Water poured in through the damaged hull of the anti-submarine ship, INS Agray, and other vessels and aircraft taking part in the exercise, 185 km (115 miles) off Bombay, rushed in to rescue the crew.
"A rocket fired by the ship, misfired, fell very close into the water and exploded," Commander A.K. Lambhate told Reuters.
