The Textile Quota Management Directorate of EPB has announced the availability of textile quota for US, European Union, Canada and Turkey--for 2004--on first-come-first-served (FCFS) basis.
According to TQMD here on Saturday, shipments made on and after January 1, 2004, will qualify for export licences for FCFS quantities.
The Directorate has advised exporters to apply through their respective associations for issuance of visas or export licences at TQMD offices at Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Sialkot.
The allocation of quota in the available categories will be made strictly on the basis of FCFS till the available quantities are exhausted.
The available categories for USA are 2.19, 237, 239, 313/226, 314, 315, 331/63I-PT, 335/635, 340/640d, 341/641, 342/642, 359/659C, 613/614, 615, 625, 626, 627, 628, 629, 647.
For EU, available categories are, 1, 2A, 3, 7, 8, 26, 28 and 39. For Canada the available categories are 2, 3/4-A, 8/A, 9, 10A, 41-A, 41-B, 42-A.
For Turkey, available categories are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 C), 7, 8, 9, 20, 26, 28 and 39.
