The special package of incentives announced by the government for the rehabilitation of the old and upcoming affectees of Mangla Dam raising project will be implemented soon, official sources said.
The sources told APP that a new Mirpur city besides four new hamlets (towns) comprising latest civic amenities, are proposed to be carved out adjacent to the existing Mirpur city as well as at Siakh, Dudyal, Chakswari and Islamagarh for the rehabilitation of the upcoming affectees of the raising project.
The sources continued that the package will be implemented 100 percent and there should be no doubt to this direction.
They said that the gigantic Mangla Dam raising project will not only emerge as the strong source of economic prosperity of Pakistan - but it will also bring AJK territory, particularly Mirpur district, on road to speedy progress and prosperity.
Azad Kashmir will also emerge as the most welfare part of the world after the completion of the project - since massive foreign investment by the overseas Kashmiris will land in the area opening new avenues of large scale economic prosperity for the people of the liberated territory, they added.
The AJK Government, especially the Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan, obtained the special package of incentives for the resettlement of the affectees of the project through the best of their abilities.
The sources said that the AJK Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan has issued special directives for grant of the right to every deserving family indiscriminately.
Official sources revealed that the complete survey of the project will be managed soon.
They said that it would be all out sincere efforts that minimum possible population could be affected by the project.
They said that about Rs 2 billion was proposed to be disbursed among the old Mangla Dam affectees at the ratio of Rs 2,00,000 per affected family besides the distribution of minimum of Rs 3,00,000 to each family belonging to the upcoming affectees of the Mangla Dam raising project for their rehabilitation, they added.
