Shipping activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI: Three ships carrying cement, chemical and furnace oil were berthed at Multi Purpose Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 21st September.
Meanwhile four more vessels scheduled to load/offload containers and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained at the Port at fifty four percent on Wednesday where a total of six ships namely M.V Orient III, Vina Une Sky, M.T Bunga Alpinia, Sun Rise Hamanasu and M.T Kassos are currently occupying berths to load-offload cement, palm oil, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo handling operation were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume 67,957 tonnes comprising 66,352 tonnes imports and 1605 tonnes exports was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
A Chemical vessel M.T Sunrise Hamanasu is expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Three ships M.V Maersk Deven Politi OOCL San Francisco and Nora Maersk scheduled to load-offload containers are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminals respectively on Thursday, September 22.
