The country largest automobile show, representing the automobile industry the ‘Auto Show 2016’ was kicked off in Lahore at the International Expo Center.
According to local media reports, the show which featured a fine collection of cars was inaugurated by Engineering Development Board Chief Executive Officer Tariq Chaudhry, and was organized by the Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM).
CEO Tariq Chaudhry admiring the auto sector said, “Pakistan’s automobile industry has been continuously playing a pivotal role to strengthen the national economy and elevate a positive image of Pakistan with a strong industrial base.”
“The demand for automobiles is expected to rise continuously over the next 3-5 years, moreover, the investment will further increase if the government boosts up the confidence of local assemblers and vendors,” said PAAPAM Chairman Mumshad Ali.
The Pakistan Auto Show 2016 is the sixteenth auto show was a three day event which will continue from the 4th to 6th of March 2016.
The event has attracted thousands of car lovers, which have attended the event as Syed Nabeel Hashmi, the chief organizer of the event stated, “Over the years, the Pakistan Auto show has emerged as the most resourceful platform for enabling a paradigm-shift in Pakistan’s automotive industry”, he said and added, that the “event attracted more than 75,000 visitors on the first day from all over Pakistan and abroad.”
