UNITED NATIONS: Even ministers make mistakes. A gaffe was made by External Affairs Minister S M Krishna when he accidentally read out the speech of the Portuguese Minister Luis Amado at a UN Security Council meeting here on Saturday but rectified the error after an Indian official drew his attention.

Krishna read out the speech for about three minutes before being corrected by India's envoy to the UN Hardeep Singh Puri.

Luis Amado had already read out his speech earlier.

Krishna is here on a two-day visit. India's agenda is for Security Council reforms.
