KARACHI: The `Paigham-i-Islam' conference will be organized in Islamabad on February 10.
This was announced by central leader of Pakistan Ulema Council, Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi.
He was addressing a press conference at Jamia Anwar-ul-Uloom, Gulberg, here on Tuesday.
Leaders of the Pakistan Ulema Council and of Wifaq ul Masajid were also present on the occasion.
They included Zahid Mahmood Qasmi, Maulana Asad Zakaria, Mufti Habib ur Rehman, Maulana Azam Farooqui and Muhammad Shoaib.
Maulana Ashrafi said that 5,000 ulema and mashaikh from all over the country have been invited to attend the `Paigham-i-Islam' conference in the federal capital on February 10.
He stated that the Mufti-i-Azam Palestine would be the chief guest at the conference.
Maulana Asad Zakaria has been appointed as convener of Pakistan Ulema Council, Sindh, it was further stated.
Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi was of the view that some anti-Muslim forces want to divide the Islamic world.
He stressed that to frustrate such machinations, it is therefore, imperative that the Muslim world should forge unity.
He further stated that the view point of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the Army Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif, during the visits of Saudi Arabia and Iran, reflects the sentiments of the entire Pakistan nation.
He said that Pakistan Ulema Council fully supports the joint communique issued by Khadim-i-Harman-i-Sharifan and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi further pointed out that as a result of the Karachi operation, peace has been restored in the metropolis.
