Shipping activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal on Sunday, 04th September.
Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy at the Port is sixty percent on Sunday where a total of eight ships namely C.V Henry, Maersk Kentucky, MSC Aurelle, Sapphire, Tycoon, Ioanthi, Sichem Pace and M.T Quetta are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, cement, urea, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 68738 tonnes, comprising 47318 tonnes imports and 21420 tonnes exports Inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1864 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port.
Two container vessel Mearsk Kentucky and Henry sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships MT Quetta and Sichem Pace carrying furnace oil and chemical respectively have to sail later today.
