ISLAMABAD: The electricity shortfall in the country on Monday again jumped to 3,887 MW from 3,569 MW as the total power generation was recorded as 14,596 MW against the demand of 18,483 MW during the last 24 hours.
According to a briefing on daily power generation and load-management position, the hydel generation stood at 5,614 MW, WAPDA thermal 1,790 MW, IPPs 7,001 MW and rental 191 MW.
As many as 620 MW was supplied to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), the report added.
Water level at Tarbela and Mangla dams was recorded as 1542.35 feet and 1202.40 feet with water discharge of 80,000 and 13,000 cusecs respectively.
