South Africa's Eskom expands rolling power cuts to 2,000 MW

JOHANNESBURG: South African utility Eskom said it had expanded power cuts to 2,000 megawatts on Friday from 0620 GMT until 2000 GMT.

Eskom, which has been experiencing severe supply shortages, had earlier announced it would cut 1,000 MW.
