Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Raza Hasan has been imposed a ban of two years after failing a drug test.
According to local media reports, the details released by PCB the 22-year old during his ineligibility will not be allowed to participate in any capacity, in any cricket match or activity (other than authorized anti-doping education or rehabilitation programmes) authorized or organized by the PCB.
“The ban has been imposed in accordance with the Anti-Doping Rules which make him ineligible to participate in the sport of cricket for a period of two years,” stated by PCB.
The Pakistan cricket board took the matter very seriously because this is the first time any player has been test positive for the use of cocaine.
Raza Hasan who has represented Pakistan in one ODI and 10 T20’s has been banned for two years. Hasan, featured in a one-off Twenty20 international against Australia in Dubai in December before making his one-day debut against the same opponents at the same venue a few days later. He took one wicket in the only one-day international he played in and has taken 10 in Twenty20 cricket.
