LONDON: European stock markets climbed at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.29 percent at 6,953.85 points.
Elsewhere in initial trade, Frankfurt's DAX 30 added 0.53 percent to 11,532.97 points, and the CAC 40 in Paris won 0.43 percent to 4,996.19 compared with Tuesday's close.
