kescISLAMABAD: The electricity shortfall in the country on Monday dropped to 3,512 MW as the total power generation was recorded as 13,722 MW against the demand of 17,234 MW during the last 24 hours.

According to the brief on daily power generation and load-management position, the hydel generation stood at 5,932 MW,WAPDA thermal 1,783 MW, IPPs 5,894 MW and Rental 113 MW.

As many as 670 MW was supplied to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), the report further said.

The water level in Tarbela and Mangla dams was recorded as 1527.82 feet and 1200.60 feet with water discharge of 120,000 cusecs and 15,000 cusecs respectively.
