Shahid Afridi who has homed a place in people’s heart has announced his retirement from long format game i.e ODI. But as per the latest buzz he might reverse his statement after facing pressure from officials. According to senior players and PCB officials, if all seniors will retire at the same time this will lead to a bad performance from Pakistan team.
Whereas rumors about Afridi quitting his captainship from T20 format is also going around. He will be taking a break after the stressful World Cup 2015.
Sarfraz Ahmed is an outstanding batsman along with marvelous wicket-keeping abilities. He will perform the duties of vice-captain in ODI’s, he is also been considered as one of the most probable contender to replace Afridi as a T20 captain.
The new names of the Pakistan selection committee have also been revealed. The committee will comprise of four members including Saleem Jafar, Azhar Khan and Kabir Khan.
