RAWALPINDI: Special Customs Court here on Monday dismissed bail plea of model Ayyan Ali, who was taken into custody on Saturday for apparently trying to smuggle half a million US dollars.
Special court judge Chaudhary Mumtaz pronounced the verdict, earlier reserved by the court in model's money laundering case.
Two days back, Ayyan was arrested from Benazir International Airport after custom officials found $500,000 currency notes during the checking of Ayyan Ali's luggage when she was about to leave for Dubai.
The case was lodged against the accused under Custom Act and the model was presented before Special Judge Custom who sent her to 14-day judicial remand.
