imageThe most anticipated showpiece has begun and spreading colors all over Australia and New Zealand. Welcoming the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 right after 23 years, Melbourne has joined Christchurch in the official start of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Melbourne and Christchurch is celebrating the opening event with the live performances, cultural shows and spectacular fire work has also being displayed.

According to foreign media reports, World Cup 2015 chief executive, John Harnden said, “The event would get the tournament off to a great start”.

Christchurch's opening event is featuring New Zealand's well known performers, cricket legends like Richard Hadlee and Stephen Fleming with the blazing and earth quaking drum rolls.

The World Cup festival is being celebrated with some of New Zealand's top musical bands and one of the biggest fireworks has been presented in Christchurch. The ceremony is live to 1 billion viewers globally and can see Hayley Westenra, Shapeshifter and Sol3 Mio took the stage in Hagley Park.
