LAYYAH: State Minister for Defence Production Sardar Bahadur Khan Sehar has said it is a top priority of the government to end poverty and backwardness from the area.
Addressing a ceremony, he said mega projects would be launched in tehsil Chobara to end backwardness and provide facilities to local people.
He said, "Our politics is for betterment and welfare of people of the locality."
The state minister said a survey of roads, health, education and electricity facilities had been conducted in many villages so that development projects could be started in the areas.
He said the Greater Thul Canal project was one of mega projects of the government which would bring about prosperity and progress to the area.
