LAHORE: Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways (PR) Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday directed the Divisional Superintendent (DS) to utilise all resources for retrieving the PR lands from land mafia.
Addressing a two-day Divisional Superintendent Conference here at Railways Headquarters, he stressed for improving Railways operational system, to facilitate passengers and ensure trains arrival and departure according to schedule.
He also directed to provide additional coaches to trains when needed and must focus on ways to overcome deficit of the trains.
He said that stopovers should be focused in commercial perspective to enhance the income besides passengers strength.
The minister said that Kashmir Rail Link was an important project and after its completion the people of the area would be able to avail rail facility.
Kashmir Railway Company Chairman Ishfaq Khattak also briefed the minister about the initial development of the project.
