imageJackky Bhagnani starrer ‘Youngistaan’ will be in the Oscars race this year. As per the report the film is apparently an independent entry from India for the ‘Best Foreign Language Film’.

Remake of a Telugu movie ‘Leader’, ‘Youngistaan’ was declared flop on Indian box office but this Jackky Bhagnani-starrer has achieved a feat which not many Bollywood films can boast of. The movie has been accepted by the US Academy Awards and Motion Pictures.

According to media reports ‘Youngistaan’ shows Jacky Bhagnani leading the country as a Prime Minister after the sudden demise of his father. Instead of concentrating on the country’s pathetic conditions he was seen more concerned about his relationship. Having used some of the tricks of the trade to tackle the veterans of politics he stands out victorious in elections winning both the seat and the countrymen’s hearts. But this was only in the movie; however, nothing of that sort happened in reality. The film was not able to stand for long in the box office.

Late actor Farooq Sheikh also played a crucial role in the movie. Except his acting, nothing else was watchable in the movie and now it being sent to Oscars is no less than a shock to viewers.

Talking to a leading daily, Producer of the movie Vashu Bhagnani said, “I am extremely happy that the film could make an official entry to the Oscars. I hope it sees success in the near future and gets a nomination as well. Fingers crossed!”

Though, makers are rejoicing the moment to get an Oscar nod but Twitter was abuzz with jokes and memes.

“Calm down, Youngistaan is nominated for Oscars in ‘The kind of movie one should never make’ category,” an angry fan tweeted.

Another tweet says, “Youngistaan is going to Oscars to teach everyone in Hollywood - Do not push your child towards acting. It can be disastrous”.
