MOSCOW: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet his Saudi counterpart, Prince Saud al-Faisal, in Moscow on Friday, the Russian foreign ministry said Thursday, as Iran and world powers seek to reach a deal on nuclear talks.
The Russian ministry announced the previously unscheduled meeting will take place on Friday morning but did not give any details of what would be discussed.
The Saudi foreign minister is due to meet US Secretary of State John Kerry in Paris on Thursday. Kerry is later to fly to Vienna to take part in talks between Iran and the 5+1 group made up of the United States, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany, that are racing to come to an agreement before a Monday deadline.
