imageMIRPURKHAS: Implementation on mega master plan aimed at improvement of sanitary system and beautification of Mirpurkhas has been initiated with an estimated cost of Rs one billion.

It was stated by newly appointed Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Mirpurkhas, Zahid Khuwaja, while talking to media person here on Friday.

Restoration of dilapidated infrastructure of the city, improvement of sanitation and sewerage system, reconstruction of parks, construction of green belts and purchase and maintenance of municipal vehicles would be carried out under a master plan to make Mirpurkhas a clean and beautiful city, he said.

The CMO said that grant of Rs one billion has been approved for revival of infrastructure of the city with the efforts of PPP senator Hari Ram.

Work for disposal of sewerage water started on emergency basis while construction and cleaning of sewerage lines was also being carried out with the help of public health engineering department, he added.

The CMO said that special teams have been formed for recovery of outstanding dues of Taluka Municipal Administration and the attendance of staff is also being ensured.
