PESHAWAR: Advisor to PM and Senior Vice President PML N Engr. Amir Muqam said on Thursday that Nawaz Sharif is an elected Prime Minister and knows to defend his mandate against all odds.
If anyone has any apprehension of becoming Prime Minister through unconstitutional and undemocratic means by taking resignation from an elected Prime Minister, should forget this, as the nation has given mandate to Nawaz Sharif for a five year term.
The patience and tolerance level of PML N workers should not be tested as they can handle the situation on one call of their leader, he warned while addressing a meeting of the PML N general council here today.
The dance and drama being staged in the Constitution Avenue in Islamabad could wind up in five minutes, he said adding, all parliamentarians deserve appreciation for passing resolution in favor of democracy, supremacy of parliament. He said that nobody can harm democracy in the country in the presence of a strong democratic system.
He said that sponsors of azadi and inqilab marches are trying to damage democracy in the country as till date the national economy has suffered loss of billions. They have no solid program and agenda for the development of the country and the nation.
