imageBEIJING: China will keep its monetary policy stable in the second-half of this year while making "targeted" adjustments to policy settings, the central bank said on Wednesday.

Authorities would continue to refine China's currency and interest rate regimes, and quicken the creation of an insurance system for bank deposits, the central bank said in an online statement.

The central bank said it would also guard against the emergence of any systemic risks.

The statement was published after a meeting of all the heads of the central bank's regional offices on Tuesday and Wednesday.
