New mobile technology to open new era of development

ISLAMABAD: Country Consultant Google Pakistan, Badar Khushnood has said that the new mobile technology will have positive impacts on all fields of national economy.

Pakistan, he said, was one of the very few countries with low call rates in the world.

Talking to Radio Pakistan Badar further said Pakistan will have to work hard for the development of Urdu language on net.

Senior advisor to Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) Brigadier Muhammad Yaseen said that several steps were yet to be taken to have full benifits of the technology.

He said only 10 percent Pakistanis possess smart phones. Telecom operators will have to prepare software in local languages so that 3G and 4G technology could be better utilized, he added.
