According to Mid-day.com Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor may star in Excel Entertainment’s upcoming sci-fi adventure, to be directed by debutant Nitya Mehra.

The director initially wanted to rope in Aamir Khan and Deepika Padukone in the leads, but the offer was turned down by both the actors.

Aamir Khan refused to work in the film as he reportedly wasn’t satisfied with the offered remuneration, while Padukone couldn’t commit herself due to date issues.

Now reports reveal Mehra, who has worked as an assistant director in Farhan Akhtar's ‘Don’ and ‘Lakshya’, wants Kapoor to play the leading role in the yet untitled film.
