KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the Law department to prepare working papers for holding Local Bodies elections in the province as per directives of the apex court.
The chief minister chaired a meeting here on Saturday to discuss the modalities for holding transparent local bodies elections in peaceful atmosphere.
He directed the Secretary Law and other legal experts of Sindh Government to prepare their working paper for holding Local Bodies elections with reference to the apex court order and put up the same in next meeting for evolving strategy in this regard.
Provincial ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon, Mir Hazar Khan Bijrani, Dr Sikandar Mendhro, Advisor to CM Syed Murad Ali Shah and secretaries of Sindh Government attended the meeting.
