imageISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Friday announced that the filled applications alongwith Pre-bid Deposit of 15% of base price for spectrum auction of 3G & 4G must reach as per scheduled date and time.

The government has fixed base price US $ 295 million for 10 MHz block in 2100 MHz band, US $ 210 million for 10 MHz block in 1800 MHz and US$ 291 million for 7.38 MHz block in 850 MHz band.

The PTA said any application received after closing date and time will not be accepted and shall be returned unopened.

An authorized representative of each interested applicant and bidder shall sign and stamp all pages of the application while representative's authorization should be confirmed by a written duly signed and stamped Board Resolution and a `power-of-attorney' accompanying the application.

The Authority said for each application, the interested applicant/bidder shall submit one original and two duly signed and stamped copies in a sealed envelope clearly marked as "application to participate in spectrum auction for next generation mobile services in Pakistan."

The successful applicants, bidders and winners of the spectrum auction will be granted license(s) under provisions of the Act by PTA for a period of fifteen (15) years as per applicable policy.

The Authority said it intends to carry out spectrum auction in 2100 MHz, 1800 MHz and 850 MHz bands and all existing Cellular Mobile Operators as well as new entrants will be eligible to participate in spectrum auction.

However, 850 MHz band is reserved for the new entrant(s) only, it added.

The Authority would inform the qualified applicants/bidders through email or telephone or Fax.
