KARACHI: Five ships carrying containers, rice and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International containers Terminal, FAP Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Monday.
Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers and cement also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 85 percent at the port on Wednesday where total nine ships namely Saf Marine Ngami, Maersk Kolkata, UASC Sitrah, Blue Cat, MT Karachi, Dailan Star-D, Glory ocean, Feng Hai 32 ad Feng Hai- 35 are currently occupying berths to load/offload, containers, cement, furnace oil, rice and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 90548 tonnes comprising 48185 tonns imports and 42363 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2281 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
