LAHORE: Shortfall of electricity yet stands at 3,000 megawatts in the country on Wednesday.
Heavy quantity of water in dams has boosted Hydel power generation by 6,250 megawatts but yet the challenge of energy crisis is yet to overcome.
According to National Transmission & Dispatch Company (NTDC) officials, about 13,600 megawatts electricity is being generated in the country while its consumption is 16,810 megawatts.
In nutshell, IPPs are generally generating 5540MW while 1810MW is going to be generated out of thermal resources.
Due to shortfall, rural as well as urban areas are bound to face loadshedding for more than 10 and seven hours consecutively.
