ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Water and Power is planning to construct three dams to meet energy requirements of the country.
Among these dams, Mohmand (Munda) dam will be constructed at the river swat and work on its detail engineering design was continuing and will be completed in two years and construction work be completed in seven years.
The Bara dam will be constructed at the river Bara Khyber Agency FATA. The work on its detail engineering designing was underway and after completion, then tender will be floated to construct this dam in four years.
The Tank Zam dam will be constructed at river Tank Zam near Hanas Tangi Dera Ismail Khan Khyberpukhthunkhaw. The dam feasibility report was completed and for detail engineering design funds are required and construction work of said dam will be completed in four years.
